Walk straight from the house and enjoy the countryside
Footpaths start right from the house, and the GR 76C long-distance footpath is one of the routes in the area. The village of La Vineuse, with its Romanesque church and its ponds, can be explored on foot.

Footpaths straight from the gite
Walking and running trails start from the house, across the meadows and rolling hills of the Cluny area.
The GR 76 long-distance footpath runs from Arcenant, in the Côte-d’Or, to Affoux, in the Rhône, by way of Cluny; the GR 76C is a variant of it.
The GR 76C does not pass the house: on the route mapped by OpenStreetMap, it runs about 3 km to the south as the crow flies, and goes through Cluny.
A walking route links the village of La Vineuse to Cluny via Chemilly: about 9 km, or just over 2 hours on foot according to Google Maps, along roads and paths. From the house, it is about 7 km; the route joins the GR 76C on the edge of Cluny.
Walking routes starting from La Vineuse are published on Visorando.

The Romanesque church and the ponds
The village of La Vineuse sur Frégande has a Romanesque church, and its ponds, with their jetty, are perfect for a quiet stroll.
The Étang Papillon, a pond once owned by the monks of Cluny, is a 15-minute walk away. It is private property, so you can only walk alongside it, but you can admire it from the path. The village of La Vineuse, at the top of the Mondasse, is a 20-minute walk from the house, and 25 to 30 minutes from the pond.
