What we collect

The booking request form collects your name, email address, telephone number, country, message, dates, number of guests and the language of the website. The question form collects your name, email address and message.

We use this data to reply to your request, to prepare your stay if you book and, from time to time, to write to you about the gite (an invitation to come back, New Year greetings), and for nothing else. Every message lets you stop receiving them, and you can object at any time by writing to us or calling us.

Who receives it

Silvia and Alexandre, who reply personally. Two technical service providers are involved: Netlify, which hosts the website and the function that receives the forms, and Brevo, which sends the emails (your acknowledgement of receipt, our notification message and our messages about the guesthouse) and maintains our contact list.

We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not pass it on to any other third party.

Website analytics and cookies

The website measures its traffic with Umami, a cookie-free tool that does not identify visitors, so no consent banner is required. We do not set any advertising or tracking cookies.

The fonts are hosted on the website itself: no requests are made to Google Fonts.

The map on the Rates and booking page is provided by OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation): when it is displayed, your browser connects to its servers, which receive your IP address and apply their own privacy policy. The activities map on the Around Cluny page is provided by Route 71, the tourism app of the Saône-et-Loire Département: it only loads if you ask for it, and its servers (as well as those of IGN, the French national mapping agency) then receive your IP address. Links to Google Maps, Apple Maps, the tourist office or service providers take you off the website: their own rules then apply.

Your rights

You may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, the restriction of or objection to its processing, and its portability, by writing to us or calling us.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority, at cnil.fr.
